A floor that is not made of anything
One thread, and everything on it

In plain words

There is a thought that says: this body, this flesh, this is me. That one thought is the thread. Every other thought is strung on it. So go in after it. Ask who, and ask where it comes up from. The thoughts go with it. And in the cave, on its own, without anyone making it happen, it shines: I-I. That is knowledge. That, and nothing else, is silence. One sky. The place where joy lives.

Word for word

The very thought that says this flesh-formed body is ‘I’ — since it is the one thread on which the manifold thoughts are strung, therefore, if one goes within asking who am I and which is its place, the thoughts go, and in the cave the Self shines of itself as ‘I-I’. This is knowledge; this alone is silence; the one sky; the abode of bliss.
