Keep company with those who abide as the Real, and simply by drawing near, the mind grows clear; in that clarity, inquiry begins of itself — and whatever supreme state is reached here, is reached that way. That state, so often spoken of, no teacher can hand you, no meaning drawn from books can give you, no store of merit can purchase, and no practice can lay hold of.
