Further, moreover —
'At the time of departure' means at the moment of death; 'with an unwavering mind' means a mind that has stopped shaking; 'endowed with devotion' — devotion here simply means worship, offering oneself; and 'by the very strength of yoga' means that settled steadiness of mind which comes only from the accumulated depth of real meditative absorption. Carrying both devotion and that steadiness, one first draws the mind inward and masters it at the lotus of the heart; then, through the channel that rises upward, moving step by step through the body's centers, one draws the breath up and holds it firmly, exactly, between the eyebrows, without a moment's carelessness. A yogī who knows how to do this reaches that Supreme, that Person higher than the highest — everything described a moment ago as 'the seer, the ancient one' and more (Bhagavad Gītā 8.9) — the divine one whose very nature is light.

And what more —
'At the time of departure': at the time of death; 'with an unwavering mind': free from wavering; 'endowed with devotion': bhajana is bhakti; endowed with that; 'and indeed by the strength of yoga': the strength of yoga is 'yogabala,' characterized by the steadiness of mind produced by the accumulation of impressions born of concentration — that is yogabala; endowed also with that — this is the meaning. Having first subdued the mind in the lotus of the heart, then, by the upward-going channel, in the sequence of conquering the bodily regions, having fixed and firmly established the vital breath properly between the eyebrows, being undistracted — such a knowing yogī attains, reaches, that Supreme, that higher Person characterized as 'the seer, the ancient one' (Bhagavad Gītā 8.9) and so on, who is divine, of the nature of radiance.
