Bhagavadgītābhāṣyam

In plain words

Now listen to just how great devotion to Me really is —

Even if someone has lived a thoroughly bad life — genuinely contemptible conduct, the worst of it — if that person worships Me with undivided devotion, holding nothing else in mind, you must regard them as virtuous. Truly virtuous. Because their resolve is sound, rightly placed; whatever their past, their determination now points toward the good.

Close to the Sanskrit

Listen to the glory of devotion to Me —

Even if one of thoroughly bad conduct, [that is,] although [one is] of bad conduct, exceedingly, even of contemptible conduct, worships Me, being devoted exclusively, [that is,] having undivided devotion — he is indeed to be regarded, [that is,] known, as virtuous, [that is,] as one of right conduct; for he is indeed correctly, [that is,] properly, resolved, since he is of virtuous resolve.
