In plain words

How does he put it? 'This universal form you have shown me — I see it now, with my own eyes.' Speaking straight from what he himself was living through, Arjuna said —

I see it, Lord — I see all the gods gathered in your body. I see, too, every kind of being crowded together there, everything that moves and everything that stands still, in shapes beyond counting. And more: there is Brahmā himself, four faces turned outward, ruler of all creatures, seated on his lotus throne — that lotus whose center, rising from the earth, is nothing less than Mount Meru. I see the sages, Vasiṣṭha and all the rest. I see the serpent-lords, Vāsuki and his kin, those divine ones who make their home in heaven.

Close to the Sanskrit

How? 'That universal form which was shown by you, that I see' — thus revealing his own direct experience, Arjuna said —

I see, I perceive, O God, in your body all the gods; likewise the multitudes of particular beings — the groups, that is the multitudes, of the particular classes of beings, moving and unmoving, of various particular configurations — those; moreover — Brahmā, four-faced, the lord, the ruler of creatures, seated on the lotus-seat, that is, seated on the pericarp-seat in the middle of the earth-lotus, meaning Mount Meru; and the sages, Vasiṣṭha and the rest, all of them; and the serpents, Vāsuki and the rest, the divine ones existing in heaven.

Gītā Vāhini

In plain words

Gazing on the Viśvarūpa, shedding tears of joy, Arjuna said, “Paramātma! I see all the devatās, four-faced Brahmā the creator, all the ṛṣis, and the hosts of beings of every kind, the unmoving, the moving and the rest. Ah! The flames that pour from Your terrible face, that blazing radiance, pervade the whole universe and scorch it. I long to know this terrible, fierce form.”
