“Brother-in-law! Desire for the fruit belongs to rajoguṇa. It is not right for you. And if you are told to let go of the fruit, you will give up karma itself, I suppose! That is a greater deception still. It is a mark of tamoguṇa. Take care!” Here God has laid down four commands. The first is a positive command; the other three are prohibitions. The first has to do with setting out what is good; the second has to do with setting out what is at fault. So it must be understood that all human beings have a right in karma, not Arjuna alone.
