Passage 12

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Even when it stays still, that karma too does not belong to the Ātma. To know in this way is what is called Jñāna. Every karma, too, must be done with Jñāna. That is why Jñāna, teaching the paths of pravṛtti and nivṛtti and fostering faith in God, leads man to the empire of Mukti by the path of ‘niṣkāma karma’. So Jñāna is the straight road to the attainment of Mokṣa. That is why there is nothing so pure as Jñāna, and nothing more impure than Ajñāna is to be found. See the samaṣṭi in the vyaṣṭi, and the vyaṣṭi in the samaṣṭi: that is Jñāna. Of all kṣetras, the kṣetrajña is one alone. To know that the Ātma which is that kṣetrajña is oneself: that is Jñāna. To know that the Ātma is the Paramātma is Vijñāna. The all-knowing Kṛṣṇa, intending to dispel Arjuna's doubt, began to teach him this yoga.
