In the śāstra of the Bhagavad Gītā, a priceless gem shines as ‘Jñāna Yoga’. He has said, “Truly, there is nothing here as pure as Jñāna.” Moreover, in the seventh chapter too, He said, “But the jñāni is My very Self, I hold.” In this same way, in many places, He has declared the excellence of Jñāna Yoga. That is why Jñāna Yoga must be regarded as the goal of spiritual sādhana. All the śāstras come to their end in Jñāna. In anusandhāna on the svarūpa that is Jñāna, what remains is oneself alone. Everything is in oneself, and in oneself is everything. Knowing by inquiry into tattva: that is Jñāna. Whether one does karmas or gives them up is not what matters. The body, Manas, Buddhi, citta and the rest: no activity of the senses belongs to the ‘Ātma’.
