Such divisions of varṇa are a boon of grace that God gave to the people of Bhārata. How fortunate the people of Bhārata are! To be worthy of God's grace, with every action bound to God's command, is a great good fortune. On this there is something we must think about a little. It is a principal problem. Today a terrible danger is befalling the varṇa system, which is God's prasāda. Many, even rulers, argue and teach that unless the varṇa system is wiped out there will be no welfare for the world, and that it is because of the varṇa system alone that the land of Bhārata has come to so wretched a state.
