In plain words

“Brother-in-law! Attain this holy state, the state of the yogi. Accomplish it. And not only this: there is another holy state, higher than this. Which is it? He who keeps his citta in Me alone and meditates with śraddhā on Me alone is the best of all, a great yogi. This Dhyāna Yoga is the inner sādhana for Jñāna Yoga. Only when it is full of śraddhā and Bhakti does this yoga have value; otherwise it becomes like a wooden doll. For all this, Prema for God must be deep. That is Bhakti. For such Bhakti to be steady, one must come to know God's qualities and attributes, His svabhāva and svarūpa, familiarity with Him, and the like. That is why I am telling you first about svarūpa and svabhāva. Listen. I have resolved to tell you in full the Jñāna of the śāstras, joined with the Jñāna of experience. Once you know this, nothing else will remain for you to know. Among thousands of sādhakas in this world, only some one strives for the attainment of such holy Jñāna; and among the thousands of sādhakas who strive thus, some rare one attains Me. Not all reach Me. So, brother-in-law, there is nothing greater than Me in any world whatever. Like beads on a thread, all things are strung in Me alone.”
