He fills all the things of the world and the five elements, yet He is not outwardly seen; He dwells in all things as the indweller. That is why Kṛṣṇa Paramātma declared, “In water I am present as the svarūpa of taste, in the sun, the moon and the rest as radiance, in the Veda as Praṇava, in ākāśa as sound, in human beings as power and valour.” Let us inquire here into Praṇava. He said that Praṇava is the life of the Vedas, did He not! It is well known that the Vedas are beginningless. If Praṇava is the life-breath of the beginningless Vedas, then the wise can well consider how important that sacred Praṇava must be to creation. One must regard the subtle svarūpa of every thing as Praṇava itself.
