The truth expressed in “Śṛṇvantu viśve amṛtasya putrāḥ” must be enjoyed in experience; it must be achieved. The forms and names that exist must be given up. They are fabrications, mere falsehoods; they are things that move, things that leave. They are not real. To make known that one's own svarūpa is the Ānanda that stays steady in all three times: that is Jñāna. A temporary cessation of sorrow, a temporary gaining of joy, is not true release. So Kṛṣṇa's teaching is: “To attain this eternal, true and stainless state, one must take refuge in Me.”
