“Arjuna! You are mistaken. For God there is no distinction between ‘the lowly and the bold’, nor any gradation of ‘the great and the small’; there never is, and there never will be. All are entitled to God's grace. All have entry into His court. Its doors are always kept open. There are no guards at all. Those who come are not held back! Nor are they invited, ‘Let them come’. Everyone who enters by the door is welcome. But what can anyone do about those who never come near the door! Those who want the warmth of fire can go near it, sit down and feel its heat. Those far away know only its light, not its heat. How foolish, on that account alone, to think the fire has no heat! In the same way, whoever yearns and constantly contemplates, wanting God's presence, wanting to experience it and wanting entry, all such people have a place there. Not everyone can do the utterance of Praṇava mentally at the final hour. That is why, if they remember Me constantly with a pure citta, I will surely look after their yoga-kṣema. For that too, practice is necessary. Through ‘sādhana’ alone is everything gained. For anything whatsoever, ‘sādhana and practice’ are what matter most; ‘thought of none other’ is the basis for reaching Me,” the Lord taught.
