Passage 6

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

The Paramātma is free of distinction, even-hearted, and that is why the world has stood safe even as far as it has. Even if a doctor, to satisfy a patient, lies to him that he has no fever, the thermometer shows nothing false. In the same way the Paramātma reveals the inner self, as a thermometer shows the temperature, and does not accept surface coatings. Worldly people go by surface appearances alone. One can know the taste by eating and the depth by going down; but the words of those who speak of depth without going down, and of taste without eating, cannot be true.
