“Brother-in-law! After experiencing all this, how has this doubt come to you again! Those who have offered everything to Īśvara, fixed the Manas on God and keep their citta on Me, the eternal, the true, the spotless: how can they have the delusion that they are the body? If the delusion of the body remains at all, that is not complete offering to Īśvara. For those who have no delusion of the body, there are no distinctions of āśrama, varṇa or sex, are there? The dharmas of āśrama and varṇa do not stand in the way of fixing the Manas on God, of reaching God, or of doing upāsanā with citta-śuddhi. Distinctions of varṇa, āśrama and sex exist only for those who feel that the body is the Ātma and that the world is the Ātma. So you need not worry about them,” the Paramātma told Arjuna.
