In plain words
If the hope of reaching the goal is to be fulfilled, the journey along the path you have put your faith in … If you want God, you must live by God's command, recognise the path that reaches Him, and set out on the journey. If you want to reach a village, you must get up and walk there. The village itself will not come walking to the place where you sit. If you sit back saying, “The Avatāra has indeed come; now everything will go well,” nothing comes of it. If you want to come close to Him, it is enough to keep the commands. Then He comes close.
Jesus Christ gave many ideals; to give ordinary people an experience of the divine, He showed them some miracles too. He taught the spiritual path to be followed in order to drink the nectar of Ānanda. “Practise good qualities such as compassion, sacrifice, Prema, self-control and forbearance, develop them, and attain Ānanda,” He said.
The voice without a body
He gave up His body on the cross, and that was the highest sacrifice He made … people usually praise Christ. But many people … bound Jesus and tormented Him. But that was not a sacrifice He took on of His own accord; that is not the sacrifice Jesus made; His very life was a life of sacrifice.
