Passage 4

In plain words

From the moment of His birth, His parents and His devotees heard such misunderstandings and false reports, and grieved. This is simply a matter of history. But whatever happens, whatever pain comes, you must carry through the effort to recognise Satya with courage and with daring.

If you lay all your burdens on God, I will give you well-being, Ānanda, position and honour. If you want to make Bhakti grow, it cannot be done by violence and pain. To recognise Satya, purity of feeling and the growth of Prema are vital.

Rāmo vigrahavān dharmaḥ, they say. In the same way it can be said: Kṛṣṇo vigrahavān premaḥ. Being the very form of Prema, He was always capering and swaying, all smiles! With Ānanda and delight He would sing songs, drawing out the melodies. Whether on the burning ground or on blessed ground, wherever it might be, there was only singing, only song. Even on the battlefield, even at the time when fear and terror were dancing their wild dance, He sang the Gītā. Where there is Prema, Ānanda is natural; where there is Ānanda, song and dance follow at once. Śānti and security come from Prema. For those without Prema there is nothing but unrest all the time; so the one and only way to cross this river is Prema alone. Love is God; Live in Love.
