In plain words
You may have read in the books of the Bhārata and the Bhāgavata how the envious brought personal charges against Kṛṣṇa too. Many wicked people, and demons who were His enemies, even set out to harm Kṛṣṇa bodily. But Satya never meets defeat; it never will. Satya may at times suffer some humiliation, but defeat never comes to it, ever, anywhere. Those who spread Asatya in that way only built themselves a royal road to their own downfall; they could not shake Satya, and could not harm it. The attempt the Kauravas made in Dhṛtarāṣṭra's court to bind Śrī Kṛṣṇa and harm Him failed, and prepared the way for their own destruction.
Hearing of the plot those wicked men had laid to harm Kṛṣṇa, the devotees of that day grieved deeply. Sahadeva, for example: “Bāvā! You have come back safe and well! This alone is worth a fortune to us! If those wicked men do not give us our share of the kingdom, what loss is there in that?” he said, and rejoiced. See what fate befell the Kauravas! The injustice they did struck them alone. But Kṛṣṇa is ever the very form of auspiciousness! The deeds of the wicked did not lessen God's fair fame in the least; nor will they. Through them God's fame spreads over the whole world!
The hardships and losses, the torments and cruelties that came to Prahlāda all showed the boy's Bhakti and surrender in still greater splendour; that is all. Such blame and reproach, such hostile deeds, have kept following the Avatāras through age after age. Through the misdeeds of such people God's power was revealed and His fame went on growing still more; nothing else came of them. Today too, the deeds of such people are only deeds that help to spread that fame through the whole universe!
Satyameva Jayate
I hope that you will recognise the truth that no one at all can move God in the least, and joyfully carry on each of your own sādhanas. However anyone may think, know that no one can move Sai in the least, and keep up your remembrance and your dhyāna. Some dogs see their shadow in the water and bark; that is natural. That comes from the delusion of those dogs. But when the village dogs hear those dogs barking, it is only natural that they bark too, is it not? When dogs bark from groundless delusions, all who hear them and bark can be called just the same as them. So you, for your part, do not let your Bhakti waver: make your Prema grow, do not let your mind fall in the least into impure feelings, build up your courage, and strengthen your firmness.
Today is Kṛṣṇa Janmāṣṭamī, and so I counsel you to tie on the vow-thread for such a holy resolve this very day. Kṛṣṇa's whole life shows forth just such ideals.
