Embodiments of Prema! Though this sacred human birth has come to us, we are failing to recognise the way to find fulfilment through it. We were born in the land of Bhārata and are a home of spiritual wealth, yet we fall prey to delusions of many kinds and cannot recognise the Satya of life; we grow weary on many paths, and through ceaseless toil, through never-ending cares, through desires without end and passions beyond understanding, we scramble after attainments that cannot be attained; and we cannot recognise the Satya that the spiritual lights are the fine lamps that show us the way when we fall into unrest. Truly, in our land of Bhārata, the temples are great stairways that bring us a sacred life. Such temples gather up the merit we have earned birth after birth, and give us the fitting means, the fitting path and the fitting fulfilment to make this sacred birth fruitful.
In this age of atom bombs, the building of temples is a most remarkable event.
