In plain words
Sweeter than sugar, more delicious than the cream of curds, more satisfying than honey turned ruby-red; and as you speak it again and again it grows ever richer, till it seems ambrosia itself; so every day remember well in your mind this lovely thing, the Name of Kṛṣṇa; every day remember in your mind the Name of Kṛṣṇa.
Embodiments of Prema!
For the people of today, who cannot take in the vast principle of Jñāna and cannot enter the inmost depths of life, to achieve the welfare of the world is an impossible task. The good of the world rests on the good of society. The good of society rests on man. So, in sum, the welfare of the world, the welfare of society, the welfare of the individual: this appears in the form of a trinity. Each rests on the other. They cannot exist apart.
Since the good of the world rests on man alone, we must recognise the divinity of the individual. Unless the world fares well, it cannot be at ease. When it is not at ease, Śānti is not found. On the day Śānti is not found, Ānanda lies far, far from us. How can a person for whom Ānanda lies so far away recognise the principle of the Ātma?
Today in the world, because there are more and more people who speak words of peace while doing deeds that make for unrest, the spiritual path has come to lie very far away. Only when there is harmony and fitness among the many spheres of life does life become meaningful. However many times they counted, Paramānandayya's disciples always found one short. In the same way, even if those who say they have come to know everything fly up into the sky, what is the secret of their falling into unrest and losing their Ānanda? Is it a mistake in the counting? Even if he counts the stars, even if he touches the moon, a person who cannot recognise himself will never attain equanimity. He will never achieve mastery. Mastery is not something found in the outer world. It is found only in the inner vision. Only when we achieve mastery can we become true seers. Only the true seer attains Ānanda. Only when we recognise what the bonds in the world today are will there be a way to search out the means of release from them. But the man of today lives in an unawareness in which he himself cannot recognise what bonds are.
