In plain words

We gain this only through morality and integrity. It shines only with the ideal of good conduct. Without good conduct, without good reflection, without good contemplation, the individuality that is divinity will never become manifest in us. We must try to experience the eternity called oneness. What is our equality like? We should take it as the feeling that we are doves of one nest. We should think that we are flowers of one vine. We should feel that we are children of one mother. We should feel that we are citizens of one nation.

We are doves of one nest, we are flowers of one vine, we are children of one mother, we are citizens of one nation:

this very thing, we must believe, is the glory of the people of Bhārata. That is why the welfare of all people is itself the religion of the people of Bhārata. The welfare of all people is itself our culture of Bhārata. The day we recognise the values of such a culture, only on that day does humanness too attain its fulfilment.

In the Manu Śāstra they said that bad deeds are not a cow that gives milk the moment it is milked. Bad things or good things, bad conduct or good conduct are like seeds sown in the earth, they said. The moment it is sown in the earth, it does not come up as a plant. The seed sown in the earth destroys its own body, then sets out as a plant, then comes up as a tree, and only after that does it give its fruit. So we must not make a joke of it, saying, "Its fruit did not come the moment we did the bad deed!" We must not be careless. It takes some time. After that it gives man the fruit of good and bad. When the feeling in the mind is good, its fruit too will surely be good. When the feeling in the mind is bad, impurity arises in this fruit too. So these joys and sorrows we experience are the very fruits of our thoughts.

In the world, in whatever country it may be, all duties go on only according to that country's culture, that country's values, and the influence of that country's place, time and person. One country's culture, one country's values, one country's ways are contrary to another country's.
