In plain words
A man is speaking on Delhi television. Sitting in Prasanthi Nilayam, we are able to see that man and to hear the words he speaks. These sound waves are recorded in the ether, which is beyond space. We are able to see all that is in that record. Nature itself, as it is, is recording it. That is the ether. When, within ordinary humanness itself, what happens in one place is seen in many places, think it over: what is strange in this, that in those days Kṛṣṇa was seen in the homes of sixteen thousand Gopikās? Kṛṣṇa's form and His soft, sweet talk were recorded in the hearts of the Gopikās. The very nature of their Bhakti and surrender attained this kind of oneness. The sound waves that were their resolves became one with the divine Kṛṣṇa principle. That is the Ātma principle, full of light. That principle full of light is what all the Gopikās were able to see in visible form. All we know is to ask how the one Kṛṣṇa was seen by many Gopikās in many homes. There is no one who asks how a single man, speaking on television somewhere in Delhi, is seen in all these homes. For this the basis is a machine; for that, the basis is a mantra. This is the power of a machine, that the power of a mantra. This is the power of sound, that the power of light. This is the power of Prakṛti, that the power of the supreme principle. I founded this Institute with just this thought: that there is every chance to turn such a principle into divinity. This power of light called Sathya Sai, even while staying here, may be seen inside your classroom. While in the classroom, it may be seen in the auditorium. While giving a discourse in the auditorium, it may take ārati in Prasanthi Nilayam. In days to come you will see. We need not go so far; during these Sundays, when you are told about the culture of Bhārata, an experiment too will take place to make it known. Speaking of it is very easy. Experiencing it is what is most needed. You will experience this divine principle, delight in it, and share it with the world too. You will make your hearts grow.
