Man's transformation is itself the transformation of the universe. Only when man changes can the world change. Only when the individual changes can society, too, change. Along with physical change, a change in the mind, and along with the change in the mind, a spiritual change: these are most necessary. So many philosophers, great souls, scholars and holy men have for a very long time been propagating and preaching the divine principle. They carry on propagation and preaching that is only a matter of commentary. They do not carry on propagation and preaching in the form of practice. Propagation and preaching in the form of practice is what is most necessary today.
If we would recognise divinity, it is most necessary to know the sacred inner meaning in the scriptures of the religions
The followers of each religion keep one scripture as their chief aim, accept it as their authority, and spread it through the world. The Christian religion has held the Bible to be its chief authority. The Muslims have held the Qur'ān to be their chief and authoritative scripture, and have followed it. The Sikhs have held the Granth Sāhib as dear as life, accepted it as their authority themselves, and propagated and preached it.
