In plain words
You who conquered all the worlds in a moment cannot conquer the world of the senses and the mind.
‘Father! You are trying to gain, to conquer, this petty, fleeting kingdom. Merely joining a war and killing men like beasts in the forests does not make one a hero. Make the fitting effort to slay the beast that is in you,’ he said. ‘Conquer first of all the senses that are your evil qualities,’ he said.
He who has yielded to the enemies within, how can he capture the foes outside?
How can one who has yielded to the enemies within win victory over the enemies outside? That is impossible. If you want to slay the enemies within, if you want to conquer the enemies within, the one weapon of Prema alone is the right weapon. So it is most necessary that we make our life worthwhile through Prema alone, conquer through Prema alone the six inner enemies that stand in our way, and make the fitting effort to attain the Divinity that is divine.
Manuja means: these manujas are the descendants of the Emperor Manu. That is its meaning. We, his descendants, must take refuge in his property itself. His justice, Dharma, Satya, Prema, forbearance and sympathy: these qualities are his nature. Only when we follow such things do his descendants have the right to become heirs to what is his. Embodiments of Prema! All are children of God. Though people follow different ways in name and form, in dress and language, there is only one Lord for all. The Father is one. That is why we must achieve these two: brotherhood of man fatherhood of God. Today in the world man is rotting, wasting and sinking under many kinds of unrest, wrongdoing, misconduct and Adharma. In such conditions, I hope that people will develop faith in God, take up the weapons of Prema in order to make humanness worthwhile, enter divine society, and make your lives worthwhile in the spirit of service. Do not rely on the body alone. Not only the body: do not rely on the mind either. Through the principle of body and mind, take refuge in the Ātma. Only he who takes refuge in that Ātma can be blessed. That is what we must do today; what we must carry out is acts of service.
