Passage 7

In plain words

God alone is everywhere. There is no substance at all without God. There is no person at all without God. There is no sound at all without God. In every object, in every person, in every substance, divinity is contained. How can you know it? There is air around you. Can your eye see it? No. Does that mean there is no air just because the eye cannot see it? Without that air how could you live? There is air. But it cannot be seen. You cannot catch hold of it. Just because you cannot, you cannot say there is no air. Just because the eye cannot see Him, you cannot say there is no God. Because I am, God is. For I have been able to be through divinity alone. Faith in oneself of this kind should be strong. If you want God without faith, how will you gain Him? One must have faith in oneself. Faith in yourself and faith in GOD: only when these two are there will your inner Ātma be there. There is no faith even in yourself. There is no faith in God; then how can you gain God? This is impossible. However many births one takes, this cannot be. For one is unable to know what is within oneself. There is no need to go anywhere. There is no need to search somewhere else.

Today the people of every country are making all kinds of new researches in science. In Bhārata these researches have been going on from long ago, for many thousands of years. How far back does Hiraṇyakaśipu go? He was a great scientist. He explored the five elements in many ways. He brought the five elements into his grasp. Step by step he tried to turn the earth. They went to the moon too. Step by step he tried to go to the region of the stars. He tried to make a small change in the Pole Star. Meanwhile the deluge began. Are today's scientists greater than he? So students should recognise what the divine power of Bhārata is like. The boy, a student, taught his father.

"You who conquered all the worlds in a moment cannot conquer the host of the senses, the mind."

What is the use? When you cannot bring your own senses under control, however much you do, what is the use?
