Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

One's own svarūpa is not a compound of the senses, the mind and the Buddhi. The witnessing Sat, Cit, Ānanda: that alone is one's own svarūpa. Forgetting this divine svarūpa and taking the body of the five elements for their own svarūpa, people are wasting their time. The world itself is a university. In it every person studies moral, physical, dharmic, spiritual, worldly, political and economic learning. Yet in the end, unable to attain Śānti, they fall prey to unrest, and in despair and dejection bring their lives to an end. The reason is that they cannot recognise that, along with worldly learning, spiritual learning is needed.

Human life is a whole made of every field

Students too, in a college, study only the subject they choose for special training, and so finish their studies. But life is bound up with every field. Human life is a whole made of every field. To push such a life into a narrow path and forget the broad outlook is simply to waste time!

The certificate we must win in life is the grace of God. Those who wish to be fit for God's grace must follow the right path and make their lives blessed. You toil to receive the B.A., the B.Sc., the B.Com. and other such certificates. Only when you pass in every subject do you become entitled to receive the degree. In the same way, there are subjects you must pass to receive the degree called God's grace. They are Bhakti, prapatti, niyama, vicāraṇa and dīkṣā.
