In plain words
Students, embodiments of Prema!
Life is most precious, it is sacred, and it is worth living. What must stand foremost in human life is humanness. Without humanness, man cannot be a man at all. What is humanness? What is the divinity in humanness? What is man's goal? What is man's aim? Man does not usually ask himself questions like these. Born into the world, man grows up, studies and earns, and means to pass his life in happiness and peace. But if you ask whether the Ānanda man hopes for is there in this material world, or whether he is able to reach it, a passing pleasure may come. Man, however, longs to experience lasting Ānanda.
Man greatly needs equanimity
Wherever you look in this world, you see only differences: of caste and creed, of politics, of society, of spirituality. Wherever there are differences, there is fear all around. Sorrows too arise just where there are differences. How do the affairs of the world stand today? Man lives in fear and alarm every single moment. Fear to go to the bazaar, fear to stay at home, fear to go by bus, fear to go by cart. When will we be free of this fear and alarm? On the day divinity grows in man, on that day fear will go. Where there is fault, there is fear. Faults of many kinds are forming in man.
