In plain words

If everyone lives with feelings like these, Bhārata will shine bright, an everlasting festival hung with green garlands. Learn the other subjects along with Human Values. There is Botany, that is, the science of plants. Our body itself is a tree. Relations are branches. Thoughts are flowers. Desires are fruits. Root is Character. Without the root that is character, the tree turns into dry wood. We must develop character at the upper level and self-confidence at the lower level. That is the true foundation. We must teach truths like this to children. Above all, what we must learn is: proper study of mankind is man. We must bring thoughts, words and action into oneness. We must reduce selfishness to some extent. We must develop human values.

Some people are educated, but they have no general knowledge. We must learn through general knowledge the common sense of ‘at what time, in what way and how one should speak’. Here is a small example of this. There was a great scientist named Newton. He was the first to discover that the earth has a power of attraction. He kept a cat. Every day the cat would cry to come into his room. It bothered him, but he was very attached to the cat. So it went on: he would go and open the door, and the cat would come in. Finding this a nuisance, he had a hole made in the door so the cat could go in and out. The cat had a kitten. One day he called the carpenter and told him to make another hole for the kitten. Then the carpenter said, ‘Sir, they can go through the one hole, one after the other, can't they! Another hole is not needed.’ Well! Then Newton thought, ‘I do not have the sense that carpenter has!’ Each one thinks from his own angle.
