In plain words
We yearn and search, thinking that Divinity is somewhere else. But if you put away these feelings that belong to Prakṛti a little, you will see yourself as yourself. You will have the vision of yourself.
Embodiments of Prema! Do not try to waste time on the spiritual path. We must do service while singing God's name. Have faith in Divinity in your heart. Do good deeds with your hands. This is Dil me Rām. Hāth me kām: if we have no faith in Divinity in the heart, however great the works we do with our hands, they are nothing but wasted work. We must try to make it work that has substance. We must not revile anyone.
If you revile others, the fruit of sin comes to you, and it never leaves you, anywhere in the world; others are not others, they are the Paramātma; do not forget this good word.
Others are not others. They are the Paramātma itself. All these sādhanas are needed only to cultivate such a broad feeling, a pure heart, a divine feeling and Prema. Not to win the world's praise. No one need praise you. It is enough if you approve of yourself. That is discrimination. You must enquire well within yourself. "Am I practising as I say, or not?" You must look at that first of all. "Whatever I say, whatever I think, whatever I see: am I practising it?" That is why The proper study …kind is man. Thought, word, deed: we must prove the unity of these three. This is the true human value. We have lost this human value, today. What the brain thinks is one thing, what the heart ponders is another, and the karma the hands do is yet another. They named it Education in Human Value. No, no. Three H.V. means: one H, head. One H, heart. One H, hand. When these three are joined, it becomes 3 H.V. Truly, take part in this service only as far as your strength goes, as much as you can do. You need not overdo it. God does not look at how long you did the service. He considers what heart you did it in. God always wants quality; He does not want quantity. One tea spoon of cow milk is useful. Why barrels of donkey's milk. So however many services we do with show, with Ahaṅkāra, in a heart empty of Prema, they are of no use.
