Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

That is, until he recognises the truth that He is within himself, the sādhaka keeps searching in the outside world. Once he has recognised the truth, "He is right here as my companion, in my home, at my side," he need not do any further sādhanas at all. Every person must understand that principle well.

You yourself are God. God dwells in your very heart. God's abode is your heart itself. The body itself is the temple. Divinity dwells in that very body. Divinity is right within us. Each one must find out this truth.

If you revile others, the fruit of sin comes to you, and it never leaves you in all the world; others are not others; they are the Paramātma Himself.

Others are not others; they are the Paramātma Himself. We must not revile anyone. We must not criticise anyone. We must not insult anyone. What is the reason? The Paramātma who dwells in all is only one. Once we have come to know such Divinity, why should we give room to this grief? So whatever person we see, we must love them and send them off with the respect due to them. A small example.

One should not recall it now, but though he is a small boy, he has kept the word he gave to Swami right up to this day. The boy who spoke first is the boy from Simla. Ten years ago he was very small. He was studying in primary school. That boy and this boy are brothers. They brought the mother on a stretcher from Himachal Pradesh to Brindavan. I took that boy and this boy close to Me. I told the mother, "These are My children. Do not grieve at all. Do not even give a thought to these children," I said. The mother too gave her word to Swami. "Sai Mother, I am entrusting my children to You," she said, and entrusting them, she closed her eyes. I brought these children from Brindavan. They were very small children then. The boy said, "My mother is Sai; this very Mother is the mother who matters," he said. The father too promised in the same way. From then on, here in Prasanthi Nilayam, the two have not shed a tear.
