In plain words

He depends on experience. We all depend on book knowledge, but we have no experience. However much this fellow has studied, he has to go to that worker and become his … servant. So along with some study we must earn experience too. That is precisely the thing we must understand. In the MBA we have put in communication. What is this communication? Communication with workers, communication with the market, communication with raw materials, or communication with managers, communication with directors: what other kind of communication is this? There must be outward communication with all of these. Today the communication most in use is phone communication; it is very great. One does not know whom people are speaking to on this phone, or what communication they are making. One may speak to the typist, or speak to the advertising people. But that is not the communication there should be in real business. Understanding is communication. We must understand everyone. How should it be? The … kind of communication there is to our body, to our touch, to our senses: communication should be that way. I am speaking to you with My mouth. I am seeing you with My eyes. I am experiencing with My mind. But if some ant falls on My foot, I brush it off. That is communication. Though the ant crawls somewhere and I am speaking to you, My mind's communication went to the ant. So whatever work you are doing, your attention there should be on what concerns the business. So it should be all-round communication. This has to happen all at one time. That itself is true understanding. To forget one thing and keep another as the aim: this does not mean communication at all. It is like this: concealment and projection both happen at one and the same time. Now, there is a rope on the road. But while it was dark, the delusion came that this might be a snake. But when the light was switched on, it was known that it was a rope and not a snake. You imagine that the snake went away and the rope came. When did the snake go, and when did the rope come? Both at once. Earlier, when you looked, the snake had not come and the rope had not gone. Once the light came on, no rope arrived and no snake departed. What was there then was the rope itself. What is there now is the rope itself. What came and what went is your own delusion. Only your illusions … keep going. This is not right communication. To recognise the reality of a thing: that alone is right communication. That very search for Satya is right communication. When we look at what is called this search for Satya, wherever one goes, all of it becomes nothing but Satya. But within this communication there are many, many more things. But we should take only what is needed, up to a point.
