In plain words
Without charity and giving, without kindness and Satya, with no good morals in the heart, the man who goes on sporting with wicked qualities is ruined on earth and ruined in the world beyond. The son whose mind holds fast to serving his mother goes on being freed of all his sins; Śiva is pleased with him and grants him lasting fame, and drives away all his heaps of sorrow.
Embodiments of the Divine Ātma!
In any land, in any age, this is the duty of the day: for man to recognise that his foremost duty is to regard his mother as the divine mother and serve her. If man does not honour the very mother who carried him nine months, gave him birth, raised him and protected him, if he does not serve that very mother, whom else can he serve? God creates the cosmos, bears it, protects it and guards it in many ways; in this God too, the mother's feeling is the very same. That person worships God as the form of his chosen deity and himself goes on serving God. Another person, too, fashions his chosen deity into some shapes, serves it, worships it and goes on rejoicing. You must recognise the truth that however important the form of your chosen deity is to you, the form of others' chosen deity is just as important to them. Otherwise, when a man goes on criticising the worship others give their chosen deity and finding fault with it, then, however many kinds of worship he performs, he cannot escape falling into sin. Just as people worship their own mother as the form of a goddess, serve her and make her happy, so they must regard the mothers of others too as goddesses, worship them and serve them, and find in that a satisfaction of its own, in full measure. Otherwise, to regard one's own mother as the form of a goddess and find fault with another's mother: this is a great sin. It is most necessary to regard the mothers of others too as one's own mother, to honour them and to love them. The man not blessed with a mother's Prema cannot gain the Prema of God either. It is most necessary for man to recognise the worth of that Prema: the way a mother holds her child in her womb, carries it, and with joy keeps wishing for that child's welfare.
Today, in daily life, there are many kinds of grounds for recognising the true divine mother.
