Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

With no charity, no compassion and no Satya, with no good morals in his humanness, running riot with wicked qualities, the base man is ruined here and ruined hereafter.

Embodiments of Prema!

In this vast world, among this endless multitude of people, three kinds of human beings live. The human being of the first class is a puṣṭi-jīva. The one of the second class is a samiṣṭi-jīva. The one of the third class is a pravāha-jīva.

The condition of those of the first class is most wondrous. These puṣṭi-jīvas are born through the merit of other births, and though they do no sādhanas, though they know no inquiry into the śāstras, though they read no Itihāsas or Purāṇas, though they are granted no sight, touch or conversation of any elders, God loves such people. The root cause of this is the merit of a previous birth. By the power of that merit they become fit for God's grace, and experiencing God's Ānanda, bathing in God's Prema, they spend their life as a life of deep peace. For this no sādhanas need be done. Once the cooking is done, what work is left for the firewood? In just this way, the human being who has gained this sacred merit over many births needs no other sādhana. So, seen with an outward eye, this man has done no sādhanas. He has given no gifts. He has joined no satsaṅga. The power of such a person is nothing but the power of the merit of past births. The life of such people is true life. Theirs alone is Ānanda. Brahmānanda. That itself is Nityānanda.
