Passage 10

In plain words

If your action is good, the reaction will be good. First of all you must keep your action right. Shape your thoughts in the right way. For everything, for our sorrow, for our joy, for all of it, the root cause is our own mind. All of it is reflection of inner being. All this is the reflection of what is within. So control your guilty conscience. According to place, time, the person and nature, Swami gives, then and there. For everything there must be a reason. Swami does no act without a reason. You must consider that there is a reason for what Swami has done. You are not seeing it. That itself is the big mistake. In Swami, compassion and Prema are always both blended together. The reactions of your thoughts are showing you this wrong path. God is a dhobi. His work is just to clean. What does a mirror say? It shows your reflection. What if your own face is not as it should be, and you look in the mirror and smash the mirror? It showed your own state; the fault is not the mirror's at all. Giving up putting right one's own self, and smashing the mirror instead! Today. God has given a special, priceless gift. He has given you the mirror called Buddhi. Look at your own face. You must keep looking at it to see whether you are fierce, whether you are calm, whether you are joyful. If, instead of looking at yourself so, you hold the Buddhi God gave you over someone else's face, their face is seen, but how will your own face be seen? People keep seeking out the faults of others. So it is others' faces that are seen. Do not hold it over others' faces, that mirror called Buddhi. Hold it over your own face. Then your fault will be seen by you. Then you can clean yourself. So first of all try to seek out your own faults. Seeking out others' faults is itself a wicked mind. Look at your own faults. Jesus too said it. You see the small speck in another's eye; the big lump in your own eye you do not see. In Telugu too they say it. Donkeys fell into his own leaf as he ate his meal and he did not see them, it seems; in another's leaf a mere fly was seen, it seems. You must not be like that. We must seek out our own fault and set it right. Not seek out the faults of others. We must see to purifying our own heart.

An example for the children. You are cleaning up at home wearing some old cloth or a cloth that is dirty. If anyone comes to the house, at once you go inside, change your dress, and come out nicely in another dress, clean.
