In plain words
So when we want to curb our senses, whether it is a hard tapas or efforts for control of the senses, all these are illusions. When we recognise the secret of the body, we can curb it easily. Without recognising the secret of the body, however many kinds of effort you make, there will be no use in it. When we buy a new car, how should we use that car? Only when we recognise well how to start it, how to put in petrol, where to press the brake, all this, is the car put to good use. I bought the car with my own money. It was registered in my name. If, saying 'my car', you sit at the steering and drive as you please, it is a danger to you and a danger to those outside. Even though it is your own car, you must first of all know and learn the way it should be used. It is only because he does not know how to use it in that way that man falls into such troubles and losses. Man falls into many dangers and into unrest. Man falls into many diseases too.
One thing alone we must recognise well. No one can go against what God has decided. It is a law that cannot fail. No one can change that law. We nourish the body. Many may argue, 'How can this body be inert?' This body is indeed inert. 'If the body is inert, how is it growing?' Such a doubt may come. For growing, no great reason is needed. If you sweep the house every day and take out so much rubbish and throw it in a bin, within a month that bin has grown. In the same way, if you keep throwing coffees, tiffins, all that rubbish into this inert body, it keeps growing. To think that the inert does not grow is a great mistake. The inert too has room to grow. Then where did consciousness come from? Well, this consciousness has a basis. It is only by the basis of that consciousness that this inert thing moves here and there. It talks. It sees. So it must have a basis. It is only because there is battery current inside that the head lights, inert as they are, are shining. Inside that car the horn says, it says, 'Make way, make way!'
