In plain words
But you must change the heart into a kind of steadiness. Only then will you surely be able to reach the goal.
Embodiments of Prema! In the services the service organisations have been carrying on these twenty-five years, winning success, some hardships, sorrows and griefs may come now and then. Many qualities may arise. This is the nature of Prakṛti. We need not take account of all these. What has passed has passed. Whatever toil we take, it will not come back to us. The future is not in our hands. You need not worry about it. Keep the present in view. Carry it out in the right way, to your full content. Then future, past, both merge in the present. So, not worrying over past faults or past hardships, you must take part in the services you have to do now, to your heart's content, with pure feelings. The Ānanda of the jīva is itself the Ānanda of God. Without the jīva, there is no God at all. Without God, there is no jīva at all. The jīva and God are bound in a relation in which neither can be without the other. Each rests on the other. So, however important you hope God is to you, you are just as important to God. So you must recognise the equality of these two and act on it. Whatever karmas you do, do them while remembering the Name of God. Do not enter into matters that are not needed. Do not dwell at all on the good and bad of others. Rid yourselves of the bad quality and the bad that is in you. Foster the good. Share the good you have fostered with many.
