In plain words

No. No. There are girl students who will become mothers tomorrow, so you must keep all these things in mind, bring up your children in the right state, help them grow in the right state, and make them ideal sons. There was Madālasā. She went on teaching the son born to her sacred thought of God all through. Rocking the child in the cradle:

In a cradle called Oṃkāra, spreading within it a mattress called Tat tvam asi, laying the child called Awareness there with never a lapse, the people of the seven worlds rock it as one. Lullaby!

In this way she sang. The people of the seven worlds means that all who are joined in the light of the sun go on blessing you. Only then does your prajñāna blossom. O son, ever hold a divine feeling. Do not fear in the least for the sake of this world. Attain this divinity: so she blessed him and sang her lullaby. What we want today is not that. You must become a man with a great post. You must become a man of great learning. You must go abroad. You must earn money. With thoughts like these they rock the cradle. There is a little song too.

Your uncle is pulling up gram in the field; go and ask for your share, little Śaṅkara. You were not there on the day of sowing, nor on the day of reaping; what share is there for you?

When he says this:

Was my mother not born with you? Let us go and plead our case at the hall of justice:

so this little boy said, it seems. Then the fight begins.

All the elders at the hall of justice said, Give the share, give the girl.

This is the upbringing. With thoughts like these they bring up their children. As soon as he is born, marriage: we marry him to his uncle's daughter. We marry him to a millionaire's daughter.
