In plain words
Embodiments of the divine Ātma!
You are embodiments of Jñāna. We need not acquire some other Jñāna in order to search for Jñāna. But though the divine light of the Ātma shines within us, a thick layer of ash called pride and possessiveness has covered it over, and so we do not see that light.
God alone is the one to be trusted!
You will not find a man in the world who is not a kāmi. Kāma means desire. ‘Ka’ means desire, ‘ma’ means a moment. That is, desires that pass in a moment: these are kāma. ‘Ma’ means what is momentary, what is impermanent, what is Asatya. ‘Ka’ means happiness. What kind of happiness? Happiness that is impermanent. Happiness that passes in a moment. Happiness that does not last. That is our kāma. Everything we desire today passes in a moment! Nothing is permanent. The Ātma alone is permanent!
Man we must love, certainly! But do not rely on him, do not trust him. Because man is not one to be trusted. After some time he vanishes from sight. God alone is the one to be trusted! All the others we may love. There is a great difference between Prema and trust. We trust our parents, our children, our husbands, all of them, and we love them. But how long does this trust last? Only for a while! Some day or other, that trust is bound to go! This is what is called ‘moha’. ‘Ma’ means what does not last, what passes in a moment. ‘Oha’ means desire.
