Passage 8

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

But the negative may not be in condition. Only when the two come together does the light come. All our lives are like bulbs. But in these bulbs there is something called the filament. The light we see is just as much as the power it has. What do you say? It may be 40, 60, 100, 500 volts. That is in the bulb. It is not in the current. The bedroom bulb is dim. The drawing-room bulb is bright. This brightness and dimness is a difference in the bulbs, not a difference in the current. So, the more powerful the voltage of that filament of faith within us, the brighter our life will be.

Faith in God alone protects the world

Faith in God is what protects the world. Whoever they may be, unbelievers, believers, those who both believe and do not believe, communists: inside, all of them have a light fear. No one can live without that fear. You all know that the communists ruled in Russia for 70 years with sole sovereignty! They said, there is no God, there is no that, there is no this. But what happened in the very end? The country was shattered to pieces. With nothing to eat, they fought one another. So there must always be faith in God. In every man there is zeal. We must be ready to do any work. You know this. In America, Russia, Germany and Japan, the production of goods has gone on well. In Japan especially, they produce fast. They produce at great speed. What is the reason? They have zeal for work. Day and night they work hard. In the evening, after coming home from the office, they go off somewhere else again and do more work. Because of that zeal for work, production grows. Because production grows, the price of goods comes down. That is natural, is it not! In the market, whatever goods there are in plenty, their price comes down. Today in Bhārata it is only because production is low that the value of goods has risen.
