In plain words

Why leave this path and submit to all these labours? Regard even the work of your house as God's work. God dwells in your heart. Whatever acts you do with the body, they are taking place through Him alone. The eyes that see are able to see through Him alone. The ears look just like loudspeakers, but the power in those ears is the power of God itself. All our senses are organs of action that belong to God. With whichever senses you act, you must regard it as done for the pleasure of God. If you enquire for whose satisfaction you are doing it, it is for the satisfaction of the self alone. Who is this self? Is the body the self? If the body itself is the self, why should you say ‘my body’? If you yourself are the Manas, why should you say ‘my Manas’? Who is this ‘my’? you are not the body. you are not the mind. you are the master. mind, body, senses instruments. Through these instruments it is God Himself, the very form of Consciousness, who has the work done. This form of Consciousness alone is present in everyone. Without this Consciousness no creature, no person, can exist in the world. In all beings dwells Īśvara, the very form of Consciousness. The whole world is the very form of God. God is in everyone. Then why should He not be seen? Children, you all know. There are many kinds of japa beads: tulasī beads, rudrākṣa beads, lotus seeds beads, crystal japa beads. In all of them there is one and the same thread. We do not see the thread in rudrākṣa beads. We do not see the thread in lotus seeds beads. We do not see the thread in tulasī beads. But in crystal beads the thread is seen. All are in human form. But among them, only in the hearts of those who are pure crystal is the thread called Brahman seen. What is in all beings is the Brahma-sūtra. Sūtra means thread. That thread called Brahman runs through all beings. When we want to see it, we must keep our heart as crystal. Only when it is pure crystal can the principle of Brahman be recognised.

Man today does japa. He does dhyāna. He sits for yoga. He does āsanas. For all he does, what is the use? The evil thoughts and the evil intentions in us must go. What gives man the chief guiding principle is the Rāmāyaṇa, the Bhāgavatam and the Bhārata. What have the pandits been calling the Rāmāyaṇa, the Bhāgavatam and the Bhārata?
