In plain words
They can say, ‘This is what is’, but they cannot say, ‘This is what is not’; be sure of it. What is, is God alone, for ever; the universe has become what is not: see this!
What is, is One alone! ‘Ekaṃ sat viprāḥ bahudhā vadanti.’ That itself is being. It is. How are you able to say that it is? In you that Jñāna called the principle of Prema is shining. So what makes every man shine, makes him blossom and makes him manifest is the principle of Prema alone. We must believe this very principle of Prema to be God. Without this Prema there is no life at all.
The Vast Principle Pervading Everywhere Is Prema!
Śrīdhara is all Prema; Prema itself is His divine form; Prema itself is the tāraka mantra for the joy of all men. Such true Prema: unable to unfold even a little of it, how in the world can you come to see the good thing you long for, O man!
The vast principle pervading everywhere is Prema! This itself is the Bṛhat-svarūpa. This is what bears the name ‘Brahma’. This itself is the opportunity fit for man to recognise and to act on. Prema is there. When and how must we use this Prema? This itself they called the search for Satya. Satya is everywhere. What does it mean to search for it? That is: what sees is the eyes. But which person must we see with what kind of vision? There is a mother, there is a child, there is a wife, there is a sister. We must see a mother with the vision due to a mother. We must see a child with the vision due to a child. We must see a wife with the vision due to a wife. We must see a sister with the vision due to a sister. The eye we have is just the one! The inquiry into whom this eye must see with what vision: that itself is the search for Satya. But people today, unable to recognise well the principle of vision, think, ‘We have eyes, have we not? What does it matter whom we look at?’ It is right there that sin begins.
