In plain words
Whatever happens is the fruit of Brahman! Recognise the truth, ‘Ahaṃ brahmāsmi.’ ‘Tattvamasi’: That am I. The Christians too said this. In the Bible He said, I am the messenger of God. He said, I am the son of God; why? God is the Father, I am the son. The oneness of those two is I and My Father are one. In the culture of our Bhārata, the oneness of these three, Dvaita, Viśiṣṭādvaita and Advaita, is humanness. Dvaita is the body; Viśiṣṭādvaita is Manas; Advaita is the Ātma. The one form of these three is the form of man. The Ātma is not separate. Everything is in itself. The whole world is within itself. We are unable to recognise this oneness. First of all, recognise the Prema of the mother. That is why we have set the nineteenth of November as the day for the worship of the mother, as Mothers Day. What is the reason? The root cause of our birth is the mother herself! Look at the history of any country. They say Mother land, but do they say Father land? They say mother tongue, but do they say father tongue? Our whole life is the form of the mother. The whole world we live in is the form of the mother! So we must understand the principle of the mother. Today, to proclaim to the world the holy qualities of women, we must learn the qualities of the mothers who long ago shaped the finest citizens, the support of the world:
It was because Kausalyā's womb was a blessed oyster shell that Rāma became God and won glory. It was because Sītā, the great sādhvī, raised them with joy that the twins Kuśa and Lava became great men. It was because Jijiyā, the jewel among women, raised him with joy that the hero Śivājī won renown. It was because Putalībāī raised him with delight that Gāndhī became the Mahātmā and won greatness. It was because Īśvarāmbā, the sādhvī, lifted Him up and raised Him that Satyanārāyaṇa gained fame across the world. All living beings have flourished in this way. Than the mother who protects, day after day, is there anything on earth more loving? The first letter of Amma is the first of all letters; to all living beings the mother is equal to life itself.
