In plain words
He must increase the intelligence of the individual. Next he must increase the strength of society. He must develop the purity of society too. Only after that can we develop spirituality. When you read SAI backwards, it becomes IAS. I- Individual. Change must come about in the individual. After Individual transformation takes place, Association transformation happens. When Association transformation takes place, Spiritual transformation comes without effort. First of all we must increase our strength as individuals. It is for this that Sai teaches all the organisations. Sāṅghika, sāṃskṛtika, sanātana. These three are the chief ones. Only one who makes these three his basis can become a true man. We must not leave these three and enter into something else.
Śrī Sathya Sai Bābā means sāṅghika, sāṃskṛtika and sanātana
In the name Śrī Sathya Sai Bābā there are three S's. Of these, the first S is sāṅghika, Society service. The second S is sāṃskṛtika. We must develop the arts called painting, sculpture, dance, music and literature. These are called the fine arts. This is sāṃskṛtika. The third S is sanātana. We must increase the purity that leads to Ātma-jñāna. Man is born for these three alone! Sāṅghika, sāṃskṛtika, sanātana. Man, born for the sake of such holy ideals, forgets these three. He is making B-Black money. Is this what a man's life is? This is not it. Block everything other than these three. That is Śrī Sathya Sai Bābā, SSSB. The students who study in this Institute must go into the villages. Many of the children who have come from the towns and joined do not know the first thing about villages. Children who have come from the villages must not settle down in the towns after they have finished their education. Develop your own village yourself! For it is that very village that gave you birth, fed you and brought you up! We must not leave the villages that gave us birth, brought us up and fed us.
