In plain words

As important as the country is to the individual, so much is the country the support of the community

First of all we must go on learning all these: why, when, in what way, who. A small example. Ecchaṭa, ekkaḍa? I am in Prasanthi Nilayam. Where are you? Prasanthi Nilayam, whereabouts? You are in Prasanthi Nilayam; whereabouts are you? I am in such-and-such a block. If you only say that you are in Prasanthi Nilayam, he will not come to the house. You must also say ‘such-and-such block’, and whereabouts it is. Though ekkaḍa and ecchaṭa are the same, there is a difference. If we question ourselves in this way, all that we take up will go well. So the students must, above all, seek the progress of our country. For the individual, the body; for the community, the country. As important as the country is to the individual, so much is the country the support of the community. Many discussions are going on about water. Many kinds of argument back and forth are going on about water for drinking and water for crops. But the whole of life goes in discussion; when is it to be put into practice? Before it learns what life is, the body dies. Even if it is only one or two of the things we have learnt, we must put them into practice and prove them. God's grace is there in plenty. Along with it, man's effort too is needed. Without that, there is no use at all. But man today has filled his heart full of thoughts. What kind of thoughts? Not Positive thoughts: Negative thoughts. Himself, his own people, his family. All he holds to is the principle of ‘his own’. This Ahaṅkāra that says ‘I’ must go. The mamakāra that says ‘mine’ must go. ‘The world is everyone's; it is ours.’ We must develop these two feelings. We cannot say ‘Bhārata is mine’, can we? It is ours. It is everyone's. If we go on developing this oneness of all, we can experience divinity in an instant.

The vṛtti of the five elements is pravṛtti

What is the reason for setting up organisations today? Recognise the divinity in all.
