Passage 11

In plain words

In the same way, when the One who is in all is one alone, for whom are you doing service? You are doing it for yourself alone. So you are doing it to yourself. But because you think him a stranger, you are moving away from him. If you think he is a stranger, other than you, it means you stand at a very low level! Not only that; this is a narrow feeling. The principle of the Ātma that is in all is one alone! That Ātma is this Ātma; this Ātma is that Ātma. This Ātma pervades the body, every atom of it. So we must go on doing service in the feeling of the Ātma. Then all undertakings will succeed. First of all, go on achieving one thing. If that one succeeds, everything succeeds. If you want to succeed, you must look on the feeling of the Ātma in all as oneness. No other Institute or University in the world is working with so broad a vision.

When we gain even a little of the Prema of God, the whole world comes into our hands

Students, embodiments of Prema! I very much hope that you, having entered our organisation and taken the name of students of this Institute, will surely put the ideals of this Institute into practice. One cannot take hold of all sorts of big, big problems and solve them. The big lies within the small itself. A seed is very small. As it grows, step by step, it becomes very big. Even within so big a tree a small seed lies hidden. In spirituality this is what they called ‘Aṇoraṇīyān mahato mahīyān’. If we become fit, even in a little measure, for that Prema of God, the whole world comes into our hands. The vast divinity too is just like that small drop of water; the ocean is very big. But when someone asks, ‘How does the water of the ocean taste?’, there is no need to drink all the water of the ocean for the answer. The taste of this vast ocean is known through a single drop of water. In the same way, the Prema of God is like a single drop of water. If you take that holy amṛta, you understand that the whole principle of God is such as this. This is what they called amṛta.
