Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

For empty men who lack purity of mind, how can the Ātma principle be within reach? The Ātma principle comes only to a very pure intellect: this is Sai's word, the path that is true.

Embodiments of Prema!

Today, wherever you look, the country is wasting away in unrest. Śānti is nowhere to be seen. What is the reason? The root cause of unrest is nothing but man's desires. The mind is nothing but a gathering of thoughts. Only when we first check these resolves does the mind come under control naturally. This is a cloth. Many threads have come together in this cloth. When these threads are taken out one after another, there is no cloth at all. That is why bundle of desires is mind. Less luggage more comfort, make travel a pleasure. Only when we reduce these desires little by little does the purity of the mind grow. Through these very desires, today every man in every country is forgetting these three positions: the moral, the dhārmic and the spiritual. What does moral mean? In daily life man must follow the path of truth and, by the path of truth, show forth the right ideal. This the Veda calls ‘Satyaṃ brūyāt’. Speak truth alone. Put into practice the very truth you have spoken. Spread by your speech the very truth you have put into practice. So, satyaṃ brūyāt. This is the dharma of the moral.

Now, what does dhārmic mean? ‘Na brūyāt satyam apriyam’. Do not tell an untruth because it is pleasing. Not only this: we must not put untruth, contrary to this truth, into circulation.
