Passage 13

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Sweetness itself. Mix this sugar in water. It becomes a sweet drink. Mix it in coffee. It is sweet. Mix it in tea. It is sweet. Mix it in pāyasam. It is sweet all the same. So mixing this sugar in every way, we must bring sweetness into everything. So: Prema, Prema, Prema. This Prema itself is the sweet. That is the sugar. Put that sugar into any path you like. Whatever you mix it into, it is sweet, sweet, sweet. Thought is sweet; madhurādhipater akhilaṃ madhuram, sweet, sweet. So everything turns sweet with Prema.

Turn the love in you towards God: that is the way to Mukti

So today we must grow Prema. Grow Prema. Bring this Prema into Satya. Bring it into Dharma. This Prema is a foundation. Satya is a wall. Dharma is the roof. In this we are living. If this foundation is not there, the wall will not stand. If there is no wall, we cannot put the roof on. ‘There is no Dharma higher than Satya’, it has been said. This Dharma has been built on the very foundation called Satya. So if this Satya is not there, Dharma will not stand at all. If Prema is not there, Satya will not be. That is why Satya is the chief thing. Satya is the measure. So in this, Prema is the chief thing. This Prema is in us naturally. But we put these loves on wife, on children, on relatives, on friends. What must we do today? There is no need to grow love. There is no need to feed it and make love grow. Without any trouble, you need only divert it; that is all. Turn the love that is in you towards God. Turn the love you have for your job towards God. Turn the love you have for your business towards God. Turn the love you have for your profession towards God. In this, your work is only to divert it. It is enough to divert it. All affairs will go happily. ‘All right, I am doing business. If I change my love in some other way, what will happen to my business?’ Do not fall at all into that fear. Remember God alone: O God!
