In plain words
Only the person who is content in the present is the true person. By thinking of what is past, worrying about the future and throwing away the present, many kinds of unrest arise in humanity.
Selfless Prema itself is divine Prema
God is nothing but the embodiment of Prema. Prema: we attain it through Prema alone, not through hatred. Prema has no doubt of any kind at all. For the Prema of God is selfless Prema. Wherever there is selfishness, right there some fear arises. Truly, one who loves should have no fear at all. Prema has no fear. The reason: there is no selfishness in it. Not only this: Prema has no fruit of any kind apart from itself. The fruit of Prema is Prema itself. If you shower this principle of Prema and go along the divine path, how blessed a life unfolds! So Prema is in everyone. No man without Prema is to be found in the world. But we should not experience this Prema as a kind of selfishness. The Prema of God only gives; it does not take. Worldly Prema only takes; it does not give. This alone is the difference between worldly Prema and the Prema of the Paramātma. The Prema of the Paramātma gives, gives, gives. But selfish, worldly Prema takes. It stands ready to take. But what I mean is this: if man has only one of the two, only giving or only taking, nothing at all will come of it. In this worldly life, this life of the world, this kind of worldly life, it is not merely one way traffic. You must give, and you must take. You must take from God. You must give to Prakṛti. This is the chief duty of every man.
