In plain words
Who can know Your form? Who can understand Your līlās? It is beyond anyone. So put away Your līlās. Give us Ānanda. You enjoy Ānanda. When we become one in Ānanda, we experience oneness in divinity. We can no longer stay apart, You separate and we separate. That is not possible. It is not right for You to do this. You are bound to Your devotees. It is not good for You, bound as You are, to test us like this,’ they said. That is just why Kṛṣṇa went on proving true the word He had given the Gopīs. Above all, the word He had given especially to Rādhā. Before she finally gave up her life, she sat among the bushes on the bank of the Yamunā. She was grieving, ‘How am I to see Kṛṣṇa?’ ‘I am going far away now. I am leaving this body. At such a time, Kṛṣṇa, will You not give me Your darśan just once?’ she was praying.
Singing a song, Kṛṣṇa, so that honey flows from Your words, speak to me, Mukunda, till my heart is content. ॥Pāṭa॥ Draw out the whole essence of the Vedas, turn it into Nāda Brahman, pour it back into the flute and turn it into the form of song. ॥Pāṭa॥
‘Pour it back into this thing called the flute, and You turn it once again into song. That I must hear just once,’ she said. Kṛṣṇa came there again. As she wished, He played the flute. Even as He was playing, Rādhā gave up her life. That light entered into Kṛṣṇa. The flute He put down that day, Kṛṣṇa never took up again. From then on He never held the flute itself.
