Divinity Fills the Person in Whom the Six Qualities Shine: Enthusiasm, Daring, Courage, Buddhi, Strength and Valour

Enthusiasm, daring, courage, Buddhi, strength and valour: in whichever person these six good qualities shine, in that very person divinity dances from the tips of the toenails to the top of the head. For the sake of Ātma-jñāna many sādhakas have been carrying on sādhanas of every kind. They take refuge in so many gurus. They read so many books, but Ātma-jñāna is not to be had. The reason? All these sādhanas are good deeds done in the outer world, the world of Prakṛti. They are only the fruits of pravṛtti. All of them are the fruits of negatives. By this much alone it is very hard to gain Ātma-jñāna. The Buddha, longing to experience this Ātma-jñāna, went on with many sādhanas. He took refuge in many gurus, one after another. He read many books, one after another. But he got no satisfaction at all. At last he made a decision. He recognised that all these sādhanas are done only for the satisfaction of the mind, and not for Ātma-jñāna. Peace of the mind has nothing to do with the knowledge of the Principle. This peace of the mind belongs to this physical, worldly Prakṛti itself. He came to recognise one truth.
